Why?

In the breeding of Arabian horses, inbreeding and linebreeding are commonly used strategies to consolidate desirable traits such as type, movement, temperament, and performance. However, when these methods are not applied with genetic awareness and precision, they can lead to serious risks for the long-term health and vitality of the breed.

Inbreeding is the mating of two closely related individuals ; for example, father × daughter, or brother × sister. This results in a high inbreeding coefficient (F), meaning a greater proportion of genes in the offspring are identical by descent. This kind of mating, can be risky and lead to serious short-term genetic defects that often do not leap from generation to generation.

Linebreeding is a milder, more strategic form of inbreeding, where horses are bred with a common ancestor further back in the pedigree — for example, both horses descending from the same stallion in the 3rd or 4th generation. That Helps maintain the influence of a great foundation sire or dam ( ex: Nazeer, Bask, or Ansata IBN Halima ) and reduces the risk of inbreeding depression compared to close inbreeding. The goal of a good and strategic line breeding is to reinforce positive traits over generations

Linebreeding is often use by breeders to evidence good traits in the offsprings such has head, charisma and more... But we all have to know that close line breeding ( for exemple using a stallion with the same granfather of the mare ) increase the chances also to inherit the defects of our favourite horses and not only merits, due to the higher concentration of recessive genes ( especially harmful ones ) that can resul in inherited health problems very common in show horses, such as ATAXIA, OVERBITE, CLUB FOOT, JOINT DEFECTS etc... This means that we have to be sure to use genotipically and fisically strong horses for the welfare of our foals, but how ?

Starting with the arabian horse we wanted to create a software accessible to all breeders worldwide that will allow them to limit this unconventional approach to genetics and promote a selection project based on functional beauty. This will allows the purebred arabian horses to improve not only their aesthetic appearance but also INCREASE GENETIC VARIABILITY in hight level horses, allowing them to strenghten both GENOTIPICALLY and PHYSICALLY. This progect was conceived by an enthusiast with the aim of investing in the "WELFARE OF THE BREED".

The purpose of this concept is to allow anyone to have a comprehensive overview of bloodlines even without extensive experience in the field, allowing them to immediately discard pairings of stallions/mares that are genetically incompatible with the original subject they wish to breed. This software is suitable to for anyone who wants to plan a mating and ensure it is done with GENETIC CRITERIA and not just purely aesthetic. Thanks to the use of THE FIRST AUTOMATIC PEDIGREE COMPARISON that brings together all the main stallions and mare active in the various stud farms, breeding farms and training center.
