The first automatic pedigree comparison

Enter at least 2 letters to search.

On this page, you are in the heart of Breeder Selections: the functionality and innovation behind this concept, created to improve the bloodlines of our favorite horses.
Essentially, by entering the name of a registred stallion and a mare ( if you want to register your stallion or mare go to the service plan page ) Breeder Selections will provide within seconds a genuine basic genetic assessment, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the offspring’s pedigree should you wish to proceed with the planned mating. As you can see, we provide full genealogical trees also visually ( for 6 generations) entirely INTERACTIVE , with photos, videos, and links to the best breeding farms should you want more information on a specific horse. Each horse has an AUTOMATIC AGE CALCULATION, updated independently every year.

If registered under a breeding farm on B.S., you will be able to view detailed show records, videos, additional photos, and much more...
The key idea is that all of this enables ANYONE to plan a GENETICALLY CORRECT MATING in just a few steps, reducing as much as possible the risk of falling into strong line breeding. This drastically decreases the likelihood of passing on genetically transmissible autosomal recessive diseases to the offspring, even when they may skip generations. We must always remember that while decreasing genetic variability increases the chances of obtaining foals with the desirable traits of a legendary sire, we must also ensure that we are not transmitting potential defects.

“Pedigrees alone do not run, do not give birth, and do not breathe, our horses do.”

HOW TO USE THE NEW ALGORITHM OF BREEDER SELECTIONS.

1) On the left side choose a specific registred stallion that you want to compare with the pedigree of your mare ( if she's not registered, go to the contacts page )

2) On the right side digit the name of your registred mare and click COMPARE

3) You will see after clicking compare that there are two complete pedigrees ( until the 6th generation ) one on the left ( the stallion ) and one on the right ( the mare ). The majority of the cases you have to look for the colors of the horse rings that are always different pedigree after pedigree.

The stallions are always on the left, designed with a BLUE RING

The mares are always on the right, designed with a PINK RING

If you see some horses with a YELLOW ring, means that the specific horse is repeated in the two pedigree at least twice or more in the pedigree. It evidence all the SOFT LINE BREEDING that are compatible with a nice pedigree.

Horses highlighted with an ORANGE ring means that they are not just repeated betwheen the family trees but in a nearby generation from the considered horses ( for exemple common grandfathers ). So a strong line breeding that is synonim of a WEAK GENETIC for your futute filly/foal

The RED ring is an important alert, that means there is inbreeding or strong line breeding that highlight GENETICALLY INCOMPATIBLE HORSES !

If there is genetic compatibility you can see few distant yellow rings between the pedigrees or no common ancestors. That evidences PERFECTLY COMPATIBLE HORSES
